Shirley D. Dandera, 66, of Lakeview, passed away Thursday morning, March 1, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 31, 1951, to the late Clarence H. and Cleta V. Rumer Horne.
Shirley worked in the meat department at Kroger for 23 years, before retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Indian Lake Moose, life-member of the AMVETS and enjoyed gambling and horse races. Shirley attended Indian Lake Community Church.
On March 21, 2001, Shirley married Clark Danderain Bellefontaine, and he survives, along with her children, April (Mark) Predmore, Toni (Jim) Rumer and Kevin (April) Oyer, all of Bellefontaine; stepchildren, John J. Dandera of Harrisburg, Clark A. Dandera II of Harrisburg and Zach (Stephanie) Dandera of Kissimmee, Fla; three brothers, Phillip (Joyce) Horne and Fred (Bev) Horne, both of Bellefontaine, and Robin Horne of Russells Point; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; former brother-in-law, Randy Oyer; former mother-in-law, Barb Harsch; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Shirley’s life begins at noon Saturday, March 17, at the Indian Lake Community Church, 120 N. Orchard Island Road, Russells Point, following two hours of visitation. Pastors Jim Ellington, Karen Blackburn and Dave Hafenbrack officiate.
