Julia Rose Yoder, 73, of West Liberty, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Green Hills Care Center after a four year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Clarence O. and Grace Brenneman Yoder.
She is survived by a sister, Patricia Yoder of West Liberty; two aunts, Roselle Kauffman of West Liberty and Ada Brenneman of Delphos; an uncle, Wendell Miller of Lima; and many special cousins.
Julia attended West Liberty School and was a faithful member of Bethel Mennonite Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Our Daily Bread and Global Crafts for many years. She liked to cross-stitch quilts, eight of which she donated for Adriel auctions. She enjoyed traveling, playing her autoharp, doing puzzles and visiting people on her daily walks. Everyone enjoyed her humor and positive attitude.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty. Pastor Duane Beck officiates a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the Bethel Mennonite Church, 416 Washington St., West Liberty, with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial follows in West Liberty Fairview Cemetery.
