William Frederick “Fred” Parker, 69, a native of Logan County, passed away Jan. 30, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill., surrounded by family.
He was born May 7, 1945.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.
He leaves behind a brother, Larry (Hellyn) Parker of Bellefontaine; sons, Chad Raudabaugh of Coldwater, Mich., and Jeremy (Shannon) Raudabaugh of Marshallville; a daughter, Nichole Robb of Bellefontaine; two stepchildren, Shawn Miller of Seattle and Leanna (Jason) Radford of Peoria, Ill.; several grandchildren, Jacob Raudabaugh, Jeremiah Parker and Pamela Raudabaugh, all of Michigan, Colin, Caitlin, Royce and Nicholas Raudabaugh, all of Marshallville, and Courtney and Alaina Robb of Bellefontaine; and one great-granddaughter, Skylar Raudabaugh.
A Honda retiree, Fred was a Vietnam veteran who earned National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign and Good Conduct medals. Later in life, he volunteered with the American Red Cross, where he earned several awards.
Fred was a big man with a big personality, who never failed to leave his mark on the hearts and in the minds of those he met. He leaves behind numerous friends who have also been deeply impacted by his passing, and even a couple of squirrels he never failed to feed every day. He will be deeply missed, but forever cherished.
