Robert “Bob” Keith Forror, 87, of Covington, also of Long Island, Indian Lake, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Upper Valley Medical Center.
Bob was born in Greenville on Jan. 17, 1928, to the late Paul and Helen Westfall Forror. He also was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Forror; son-in-law, Gary Bell; grandson, David Lee Bell; granddaughter, Stephanie Kaye Bell; and two brothers, Ray “Pete” Forror and Donald Forror.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patty L. Black Forror; daughter, Ann Bell of Covington; two grandchildren, Heather Simmons and Michael Bell; two stepgrandchildren, Ward Bell and Whitney Bell; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna and Malaina; two great-stepgrandchildren, Savanah and McKenna; special nephew, Kenneth Forror; and other relatives and friends.
A 1946 graduate of Covington High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired as an industrial engineer with 17 years of service at Hobart Corp. He also worked at NCR for 28 years and for Bill McVety Real Estate.
Bob attended Covington Christian Church and was a past member of American Legion A.B. Cole Post 80, Covington. He was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge, AMVETS Post 66 of Covington, Korean War Veterans of Piqua, Covington Eagles Aerie 3998 and Covington VFW Post 4235. He also was a member of the Piqua F&AM and was drill captain for 35 years. His last role was Sovereign Master of Buckeye Council 92 A.M.D. and Grand Aide and judge for the State of Ohio Grand Commandry.
Pastor Nathan Paulus officiates a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, where visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Covington, with military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
