Susan Elaine Howell, 66, of Lakeview, passed away Sunday morning, March 8, 2015, at her home while surrounded by her family.
Susie was born in Kenton on Oct. 25, 1948, to Billie Jean Wood Keckler, who lives in Lakeview, and the late Robert D. Keckler.
On April 6, 1968, she married Dennis Howell in Lima and he survives, along with their two daughters, Sally (Rodney) Ruth of Sycamore and Melissa (Judson) Brooks of Quincy; five grandchildren, Ryan and Gwen Ruth, Brad Howell and Travis and Joel Brooks; a sister, Nancy Montville of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Thomas D. (Sue Foote) of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
Susie was a graduate of Lima Shawnee High School. She retired in 2013 from Allen County Board of DD after 20 years.
Susie was a member of the Indian Lake Eagles Aeries 3615 and Indian Lake Women of the Moose 452, both of Lakeview. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, being outdoors, boating and riding her golf cart. She loved to make and share her buckeye bars with family and friends.
Pastor Ed Shady conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. Burial is in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.
