Isabelle M. Kensler, 92, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at her home.
She was born in Van Wert on Dec. 9, 1922, to the late Fred Barton and Mattie Mabel Uncapher Kensler. She also was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Clifford and Ada Mae Kensler, Orville and Hyla Kensler, Georgia Kensler, and infant brother, Charles Kensler.
Isabelle is survived by her brother, the Rev. Donald Kensler of Matthews, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Isabelle graduated from Cleveland Bible College. She worked for the Friends Rescue Home in Columbus.
She graduated from the Columbus School of Practical Nursing in 1963. After leaving Columbus in 1970, she worked in area nursing homes, including part-time at Logan Acres, where she retired in 1986.
Isabelle attended First Friends Church in Bellefontaine and Mt. Carmel Friends Church in Cable.
A memorial service to celebrate her life is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the First Friends Church, Bellefontaine. Burial is in East Liberty Cemetery at a later date.
