Nancy J. Henry, 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at her home.
She was born in Celina on June 25, 1935, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Grace Elizabeth Bennett Barker.
On Dec. 20, 1953, she married Robert L. “Bob” Henry and he preceded her in death Sept. 29, 2013. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Barker.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Lana) Henry Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Diantha Jane (Mark) Huffman and James (Sherry) Henry, both of Bellefontaine and Coleen (Douglas) Reprogle of Huntsville; grandchildren, Chelsea (Ray) Meals, Bracken Henry, Joshua (Chrissy) Huffman, Jeth (Misty) Huffman, Craig (Lyndsey) Henry, Jaime (Rob) Yelton, Jordanne (Travis Murphy) Henry, Elisa (Cameron) Klump, Erica (Stephen) James, Tyler and Tatum Reprogle; 14 great-grandchildren, with five more coming this year; sisters, Rosemary (Charles) Barton of Bellefontaine and Alice (Douglas) Baughman of DeGraff; brother, Bill (Fran) Barker of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She retired as treasurer at the First Church of God, Bellefontaine, where she served on the Sunday School Church Board, taught and directed Sunday School and coordinated Primary Children’s Church. She also was involved with the Senior Saints group at the church.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. Pastors C.J. Plogger and Ray Headings conduct a funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the First Church of God, Bellefontaine. Burial is at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
