Billy Ray Robinson, 80, of DeGraff, went home to be with his Heavenly Father at 3:28 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Claiborne County, Tenn., on Oct. 3, 1938, to the late William Alvis and Ella Mae Good Robinson.
On March 4, 1967, Billy married the love of his life, Brenda Lester, in Sidney, and she survives, along with their four children, Tammy (Devon) Hodge, Scott (Glenay) Robinson, Christine (Jon) Mitchell and Matthew (Krystal) Robinson; 10 grandchildren, Tyler (Alyssa) Hodge, Bryce (Katelynn) Hodge, Brandon Robinson, Brieann (Devin) Stewart, Amber Garner, Trevor (Tiffany) Robinson, Cheritha (Eric) Miller, Michael Schaffer, Ian Robinson and Peyton Robinson; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carylon Rickel and Sharon Salyer; a brother, Jay (Sharon) Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sister, Magdalene Ellison; and five brothers, Orbry, Bruce, Franch, George Lee and Jim Robinson.
Billy retired from the former Quincy Castings. He was a collector and especially loved spending time with his family.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Daring & Sanford funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff, following calling that begins at 11 a.m. Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiates and burial follows in Quincy Fairview Cemetery.
