Jerry Stachler, 67, of Russells Point, passed away Thursday, Jan, 10, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Jerry was born July 18, 1951, in Dayton, a son of the late Harold and Evelyn Nelsen Stachler. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Wissinger and Judi Drummond.
On Sept. 4, 1976, he married Rebecca L. Dapore in Russells Point and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Christopher (Rayann Cooper) Stachler of Lakeview and daughter, Amy (Tony Robinson) Holbrook of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Cody Stachler, Madison, Micaela and Destiny Holbrook, and Brayden and Blake Robinson.
Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Belmont High School in Dayton and a United States Army veteran. Jerry worked many years at various machine shops as a lathe operator until retirement. He enjoyed working outdoors and watching the Buckeyes, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Per his wishes, there are funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Logan County Cancer Society and St. Rita’s Hospice in Lima.
