Robert Franklin Clark, 68, of Quincy, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 in his residence.
He was born in Rosewood on Sept. 21, 1950, the son of the late Harry and Grace Harvey Clark.
On Oct. 8, 1969, he married the former Laura Eileen Smith and she preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi Michelle Clark on Aug. 7, 2016.
He is survived by a daughter, Anita Norman of Quincy, three grandchildren, Lindsey Michelle Roof of Sidney and Dillon Austin Roof and Hannah Eileen Jones, both of Quincy; two great-grandchildren, Leah Eileen and Emma Jade Parrett; a sister, Linda Gray of Bellefontaine; and a half-brother; Kenny (Jo) Gillespie of St. Paris.
Robert was a hard-working man and early in his career, he worked as a Quincy police officer and as a deputy sheriff for Logan County. He worked for Wagner’s and NK Parts before retiring. He volunteered as a youth coach for his children’s sports and later enjoyed woodworking and building furniture.
Pastor Bobbi Allen officiates a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff, where visitation begins at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.
