Benjamin Logan Schools has scheduled a calamity day for Friday, March 26, with no school for students as staff members receive their final COVID-19 vaccination during regular school hours.
Superintendent John Scheu said this is the district’s eighth calamity day for the school year. If the district reaches 10 calamity days, the next calamity day (day 11) will result in remote learning instruction for all students.
“We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and support while maintaining face-to-face instruction every day of the school year. We are slowly, but surely getting back to normal in all of our school buildings,” Scheu said in an All-Call message to district families.
