NICHOLL |
Tammy Nicholl of Bellefontaine received the 2016 Meritorious Service Award at Monday evening’s annual meeting of the Mary Rutan Health Association. This is the 25th year the award has been given by Mary Rutan Foundation to those who have made substantial contributions to the health and well-being of the community, while placing service to humanity ahead of personal gain or recognition.
Mrs. Nicholl is director of service systems for the Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties and is chairperson of the Healthy Living Coalition and co-chairperson of the Coalition for Opiate Relief Efforts.
Her selection was based on “her tireless efforts, commitment and leadership in the implementation of an infrastructure fostering increased involvement and collaboration of area agencies, organizations and community members; focused on improved resources and services for the residents of Logan County. These efforts are targeted to address healthy lifestyle choices, opiate and heroin abuse, mental health and homelessness,” association representatives said.
