LCBDD offers memorial tribute to 4 individuals

The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities recently honored four individuals who passed away in the last year with a special ceremony at the agency’s memorial garden.  Friends, family members and employees remembered Ione Pence, Jane Cotterman, Mary Frost and Jack Harris.  Christi McGill prepared special remarks about Pence, and Nancy Evans Donley shared her favorite memories of Cotterman. Lisa Manns recalled what she loved about Frost, and Abby Alexander tearfully described her time with Harris. Superintendent Saul Bauer said of each honoree, “In this life they loved all people, no matter race, ability or creed. They welcomed with open arms, with joy and with hugs.” Participants said a prayer, sang songs, blew bubbles and released a few balloons in honor of the individuals. The solar light will be left in the memorial garden for the next five days. (PHOTO SUBMITTED)
