Living-Wax-Museum

George Washington, left, played by Indian Lake Middle School fifth-grader Trenton Stringfellow, delivers a speech during a recent Living Wax Museum project in the school cafeteria by advanced language arts fifth-graders. Each of the students selected a famous person, read a biography and wrote a short speech. For the Living Wax Museum event, parents, pupils or teachers walked up to the actors, who would deliver their speech and then freeze. Other famous Americans portrayed by students included Michael Jordan, Adam Sandler, Rachel Carson, John F. Kennedy, Harry Truman, Pocahontas, Abraham Lincoln, Annie Oakley and Wyatt Earp.
