Pastor Donny Macaluso from Calvary Baptist Church partakes of pizza with Benjamin Logan Middle School pupils Thursday during a luncheon for 48 students recognized for the school’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program this month. The school also invited area pastors to the school in honor of Pastor Appreciation Month, and other pastors in attendance for the lunch served by Firehouse Pizza and Subs of Zanesfield included Ben Moore from Rushsylvania Church of Christ, Carolyn Christman from Middleburg United Methodist Church, Daniel McCarty from Hillcrest Baptist Church and April Phillips from Belle Center United Methodist Church. Students were nominated for the PBIS program by teachers for showing outstanding positive behavior. Each month, pupils will be recognized for positive behavior and will sit at the “golden table” with that month’s selected community members, which last month was Honda of America engineers.
