A report has been sent to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office regarding a possible vandalism charge for a female inmate at the Logan County Jail regarding an incident March 23 that resulted in a damaged window in cell block E at the 284 S. County Road 32 facility.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report a corrections officer on deputy about 1:15 a.m. that morning heard two female inmates throwing items inside the cell block and then noticed that a window pane had been damaged. The inmates reported that they had been throwing cinnamon candy sold in the inmate commissary, but stated at the time that they “didn’t break the window.”

Interviews were conducted with inmates from the cell block, and the suspect was identified.

April 10, Gates Brothers Glass Shop was contacted to repair the damage to the window pane, with a damage estimate at $1,455.88.
