2 transported from 3-vehicle crash

Driver James Schmerge, 60, of St. Marys, and his passenger, Richard Schulze, age and address unavailable, each was transported by Riverside squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday at state routes 235 and 47.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report William Price, 44, of Hudson, was operating a westbound pickup on S.R. 47. and stopped at the stop sign. He then drove from the stop sign and failed to yield to a southbound minivan operated by Don Tangeman, 59, of Sidney.

The Tangeman minivan struck the pickup and then went off the right side of the road and came to rest in a ditch. The pickup struck an eastbound minivan operated by Schmerge.

Price was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. No other injuries were reported.
