Trenton E. Mathews, 37, of 413 E. Sandusky Ave., was arrested Saturday for persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and violating parole.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report he walked into the emergency room department of Mary Rutan Hospital around noon highly agitated, yelling and pacing back and forth.
He told an officer assigned to the hospital that he had been abusing methamphetamine earlier and now believes he has been poisoned with fetanyl.
He would not cooperate with staff and became more paranoid. Two officers physically restrained him when he tried to leave and handcuffed him to the bed for treatment. After he was medically cleared, Mathews was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
