Clint D. Blevins Jr., 35, at large, was arrested Monday for domestic violence, robbery, illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to 408 Woodview Drive around 5:30 p.m. for a domestic dispute. A girl had called 911 to report her parents were fighting.
Upon arrival, officers met with Renea Taylor, who reported she came home to find her front door forced open and broken and several windows damaged.
Blevins, the father of her youngest child, was inside sitting on a couch. He was demanding money from her and followed her out when she left with her daughters.
He grabbed money from her waitress apron and punched her in the face twice before running off. She tackled him and retrieved the money.
Officers noted she had a cut lip.
The assailant had run off, but was soon spotted coming out of a nearby woods. Officers took him into custody on the felony robbery warrant.
He was taken to the Logan County Jail where staff found a hypodermic needle on the defendant.
More charges are pending.
