Deborah A. Norris, 45, of Belle Center, was transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a crash about 6:05 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a westbound sport utility vehicle on Township Road 51 south of County Road 39 when she struck a deer and drove off the left side of the road on a curve. Her vehicle struck a ditch and traveled through a bean field.
The SUV exited the field and struck the ditch again before coming to rest along the left side of the road.
Damage was heavy to the SUV, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing her seat belt, and no citations were listed with the report.
