Domestic dispute turns into multi-agency search for suspect

A West Liberty area man was charged with having weapons under disability Thursday after he allegedly made threats at his home and then left on foot, reportedly carrying a firearm, and multiple agencies were called in to search for him.

Shane Kramer, 43, of 2720 Township Road 30, West Liberty, also was charged with domestic violence after he peacefully returned to his home about 9:50 p.m., and was lodged in the Logan County Jail, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

About 5:15 p.m. deputies responded to his residence on a domestic dispute reported by his wife, Sherry, 48.

She reported that when she arrived home that day about 2:30 p.m., her husband, who is currently under supervision by the Adult Parole Authority, was intoxicated and he began arguing with her. He repeatedly asked to use her vehicle, but she refused because of his intoxicated state and he also does not have a driver’s license.

Mrs. Kramer said he then went outside and allegedly pulled spark plug wires off of their vehicle, and began making threats that he would bust in the doors and windows.

She said after making the threats, he reportedly walked off the property, and she believed he had a gun in a holster that he was carrying on his person.
