Uncle lodged on menacing charge

Michael J. Robinson, 55, of 11364 Pocahontas Path, Lakeview, was charged Monday with aggravated menacing.

He had threatened to kill his 17-year-old nephew Brandon L. Miller, 1000 Garfield Ave., Lot 73, during an afternoon phone call. He stated he was en route to Bellefontaine.

While officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were at the residence, the defendant called again and sounded heavily intoxicated.

He was cordial with police and asked them to relay a message to Brandon that the suspect was going to beat his nephew to death. He also threatened to kill other family members.

He was located by deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Car reported stolen

A gold 2000 Ford Focus belonging to Sheanna L. Cerwinsky, 628 Cook Ave., was stolen overnight.

She found it missing around 4:45 a.m. today when she went out to start it for a warmup.

Its Ohio license plate is GBX 9058.

Scrapper charged with theft

Robert F. Holbrook, 32, of 629 Florence Ave., was charged Saturday with theft.

He allegedly changed the numbers on a scrap metal ticket at Sims Brothers, 512 Plumvalley St., increasing his pay out from $94.48 to $415.48.

He had just $75 left when officers confronted him at his residence.
