Impaired motorist found in parked vehicle

Adam J. Foust, 28, of 417 Linden St., was charged Thursday with physical control of a vehicle under the state’s operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs laws.

Around 2 a.m., he was spotted outside the Knights of Columbus, 1208 S. Main St., and found in a sport utility vehicle with its engine running.

He was released to a sober relative.

Hit-skip driver found at restaurant

Ronald E. Harman Jr., 49, of Bellefontaine, was cited today for leaving the scene of a crash and improper backing.

Around 2:20 a.m., he backed his car into a parked car registered to Jessica Clarkson of Bellefontaine outside Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive.

He drove from the scene and was soon located at Waffle House, 1133 N. Main St.

He admitted to drinking two beers and field sobriety tests did not indicate he was impaired by alcohol.

He told officers he did not realize his car hit another.

Damage was light.

Teen lodged in JDC

Devin A. Murphy, 17, of Urbana, was charged with delinquency assault Thursday after he hit an instructor in the face around 2 p.m. Thursday at Mac-A-Cheek Learning Center, 1130 W. Sandusky Ave.

Jason Campbell sustained a bloodied nose in the attack.

He told officers the student was upset after his team lost during a gym class. He stormed out and went to a classroom where he calmed down for few minutes before going into a rage. He threw a water bottle and upset his desk before striking Mr. Campbell.

The teen was lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
