Photography illustration part of state art show

Benjamin Logan High School junior Sabrielle Davidson was selected to exhibit three pieces of artwork, titled “Innocence,” at the 2015 Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition.

Sabrielle’s art was one of the 300 selected out of 12,000 regional entries.

The meaning behind the gas mask photos, according to the artist, is that “Children are born innocent, and the world slowly gives us a false impression that power, money, looks, war, killing, is more important than the peace, gentleness, honesty, and loveliness of a child that all human kind should strive for!”

The exhibition opens at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, across from the State Capitol, April 12 through May 13. At the exhibition opening, students receive Awards of Excellence and scholarship awards.
