Police look to schedule spring/summer events

The Bellefontaine Police Department is now accepting requests for neighborhood outreach events, public events or speaking engagements for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

Anyone that wishes to have the police department provide a neighborhood outreach to discuss current crime topics, meet K9 units, meet Safety Pup and other activities should call 599-1010 and ask for Danielle Meek or email the department at police@ci.bellefontaine.oh.us.

The department again will be sponsoring a Community Safety Event in August, but wants to continue its neighborhood outreach efforts.

The event was the second neighborhood outreach this summer and will be followed by a noon Saturday, June 28, event at Deercreek Village Apartments, 450 Kristina Drive, Chief Brandon Standley said. The police department’s summer activities conclude with a law enforcement day at Southview Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. (EXAMINER PHOTO | REUBEN MEES)
