POLICE BEAT: Man threatens police

Carl Willison 50, of 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. D1, was charged Monday with aggravated menacing.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to his apartment regarding loud music around 11:45 p.m.

He answered the door and came out to receive a summons.

An officer stayed on the scene outside a patio of the defendant’s apartment. The sliding door was partially open.

The officer heard the suspect begin ranting about his neighbors and cursing the police before turning up his stereo again. According to the reports, he said “... I’ve added them (police) to my hit list. I’ll take care of them all.”

Another officer arrived and they arrested the suspect. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Two men were arrested Wednesday after two search warrants were served at separate city residences.

Lewis Watkins, 43, of 802 W. Auburn Ave., was charged with possession of cocaine, while John D. Lamb, 30, of 709 W. Sandusky Ave., was charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine.

The warrants were obtained by the Logan County Joint Drug Task Force as part of an ongoing investigation.

Marijuana was seized from both residences and cocaine was found at the Watkins home.
