Two men face rape charges for allegedly molesting young girls after a Logan County grand jury handed up indictments this week.
Dustin K. Hughes, 29, of Bellefontaine, faces three counts of rape and one count of attempting to commit an offense, first-degree felonies; four counts of gross sexual imposition, third-degree felonies; and misdemeanor sexual imposition.
Anthony J. Castello Jr., 59, at large, has been named in an indictment for two counts of rape, first-degree felonies; and gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony.
Hughes allegedly had sexual conduct with two female victims over the past eight years.
In 2011, he alleged engaged in sexual conduct with a girl under the age of 10, according to a Bellefontaine Police Department investigation.
He also allegedly inappropriately touched a teenage girl in April.
Castello, who was recently captured in Virginia, allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a Belle Center area girl during a visit to the area this summer.
The girl reported the incident to her mother soon after the assault. The mother confronted the suspect before calling the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
