Passenger Heather Cox, 29, of Kenton, was lodged in the Logan County Jail on a felony count of possession of drugs as a result of a traffic stop about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department spotted a silver Nissan traveling over the center lane of travel in the area of State Route 274 and County Road 61 and initiated the stop.
A consent search was conducted on the vehicle. Located inside a brown purse belonging to Cox was a black jewelry bag that had a clear plastic baggie containing a white crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also located two separate glass meth pipes.
She was placed under arrest. When asked, Cox advised officers she had been clean for two years.
