Howard F. Jackson, 85, of DeGraff, was cited for driving left of center related to a crash involving his car and a motorcycle about 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a westbound car on Township Road 21 and stopped at the intersection of County Road 24. Jackson stated the sun was in his eyes when made a left turn onto C.R. 24 and he struck a northbound motorcycle stopped at the intersection operated by Ricky A. Close, 38, of Bellefontaine. The impact caused Close to fall off the motorcycle.
Close refused medical treatment at the scene and was not wearing a helmet, deputies report. Jackson did not report any injuries and was wearing a seat belt.
Damage was light to the car and moderate to the motorcycle.
• Veronica E. Wagner, 45, of Waynesfield, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash on County Road 153 just before midnight Saturday.
Deputies report she was operating a northbound car when she traveled left of center and then overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch and a tree.
Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene.
She was wearing her seat belt.
