Ridgemont Board of Education members hired a new treasurer during a special board meeting Wednesday evening to fill the vacancy following the retirement of former treasurer Fred Reinemeyer.
Melissa Pollom will be managing the district’s finances beginning April 8. She was extended a three-year contract, with her salary set at $75,000 per year, district officials said.
Ms. Pollom has worked for the past 10 years as assistant to the treasurer at Tolles Career & Technical Center in Plain City.
“Over the course of the past month, the board has held many special meetings and has worked hard to fill the position,” Superintendent Sally Henrick said. “They would like to thank K- 12 Business Consulting for assisting with the treasurer search. “Please welcome Ms. Pollom to Ridgemont. We look forward to her joining our team.”
