Officers of the Russells Point Police Department issued a summons to a man for disorderly conduct following a reported incident of road rage about 8 p.m. Friday along westbound U.S. Route 33 near Huntsville.

Norman McClain Jr., 23, of Lakeview, reportedly started yelling at another female motorist, and was seemingly trying to start a fight with the woman because of a road rage altercation that originally began in the area of U.S. 33 near State Route 117, officers report.

McClain Jr. parked his car in front of and interrupted an interaction between that female driver and Russells Point police, and he had to be immediately detained, according to an incident report.

The woman flagged down police near Clermont Avenue and was reporting the incident when McClain entered the scene.

Officers report fielding regular complaints of reckless driving and/or incidents of road rage in the area where U.S. 33 reduces from four to two lanes.
