2 arrested for trafficking in meth

Two Lakeview area residents were arrested Tuesday on warrants for fourth-degree felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine following an investigation by the Logan County Joint Drug Task Force.

Joshua C. Kaverman, 32, and Louis E. Schoenberger, 62, both of 11044 Chickasaw Path, Chippewa, Lakeview, each was placed under arrest about 10:30 a.m. on warrants served by the task force and officers with the Adult Parole Authority at their residence.

Kaverman also was charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine. Schoenberger also was charged with possession of fentanyl and a felony probation violation.

The task force had been investigating the residence and requested the assistance of the Adult Parole Authority on serving the warrants.

Schoenberger was observed outside his residence and was taken into custody. APA officers recovered capsules of suspected fentanyl on his person.
