NOETH |
A new Bellefontaine High School principal and her family were feeling the Chieftain spirit Monday evening, and attended the board of education meeting dressed in all red and black attire.
Pamela Noeth, Ph.D., who currently serves in a director position with Battelle For Kids, was extended a three-year contract as the new high school principal, which is effective Aug. 1 through July 31, 2019. She fills the position of current principal Bill Badenhop, who previously announced his retirement effective Dec. 31.
Her salary was set at $94,637 per year.
She has worked as Battelle For Kids’ director of leading and learning for the past five years, and it is through that role that she became familiar with Bellefontaine City Schools and Executive Director of Instructional Services Christine Galvin.
Dr. Noeth said she works closely with the Ohio Appalachian Collaborative relating to the Straight A Grant, and BCS is one of 26 member schools in the collaborative.
“I’ve gotten to know Christine (Galvin) during the past four to five years, and I’ve learned a lot about Bellefontaine City Schools at the same time. Sometimes, those friendships turn into a great new opportunity.
“There are a lot of wonderful things happening here, and I feel like it’s a great fit for me. I like that it’s a smaller community that cares about its schools.
“I’m so appreciative to the board for having me and I feel very blessed.”
