Joseph Blanton, 21, of 6497 Township Road 210, Belle Center, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia and cited for driving under suspension, a license plate violation and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Around 8:50 p.m. he was observed driving along Main Street in the downtown.
A license plate check revealed the driver’s license suspension and officers initiated a stop in the 200 block of south Detroit Street.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle.
He turned over a small amount of marijuana and items for smoking the drug.
Man arrested for damaging windshield
Tyler L. Griffith, 26, at large, was charged with criminal damaging after an 8:35 p.m. Saturday incident outside 812 Heritage Court.
Andrea M. Greener of Bellefontaine told officers she went to the apartments to allow the suspect to visit with their daughter and celebrate the child’s birthday.
An argument ensued and he allegedly ripped the rear view mirror from inside the car. He then threw it into the dash board and it cracked the car’s windshield.
Officers found him inside and arrested him. They reported detecting an odor of alcohol on the suspect.
