Krista N. Reck, 40, of Urbana, was arrested June 28 on drug charges and a warrant.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department spotted a sport utility vehicle stopped partially blocking the drive-up lane at Taco Bell, 1600 S. Main St., around 10:30 p.m. The license plate did not match the SUV and the officer asked Reck for identification.
Upon checking records, the officer learned she was wanted in Union County for failure to appear. A pill bottle with methamphetamine was found in the SUV and Reck was taken to jail on the warrant.
Jail staff asked her if she was in possession of contraband and she said no. However, staff found a folded dollar bill and a green piece of paper containing remnants of a prescription pill and powder. The defendant also allegedly swallowed something else.
She was removed from the shower and placed in a restraint chair for observation of a potential overdose.
A plastic piece of pipe was found with white powder residue in her purse at the jail along with suspected LSD.
She was charged with three felony counts of drug possession; felony conveyance of illegal drugs into a jail; and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia.
