A motorist was injured Friday after her car collided with the trailer of tractor-trailer on the south side of the U.S. Route 68 overpass at U.S. Route 33.
Faith E. Jackson-Sanders, 27, of Humble, Texas, was transported by a Bellefontaine squad from the 1:35 p.m. crash to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of possible injuries, according to Bellefontaine Police Department crash reports.
She was southbound when Gerald A. Lawton, 51, of Mocksville, N.C., turned a semi left from the exit ramp to travel northbound. Lawton was not able to clear the intersection while Jackson-Sanders was unable to evade the collision.
Lawton was cited for a stop sign violation. Damage was heavy to the car and minor to trailer.
Roommates charged after fight
James L. Coe, 59, and Cody A. Waddell, , both of 1003 Garfield Ave., each was charged Monday with domestic violence.
Officers report they responded to an 8:20 p.m. incident in which the roommates fought each other. Neither man nor a female roommate, who observed part of the fight, agreed to fill out a witness statement so officers issued each a summons.
