Thomas R. Hoskins, 39, of 1145 S. Main St., was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana and issued traffic citations for speeding, no motorcycle endorsement and driving under suspension.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department was operating a laser near Hoskins’ residence around 4:10 p.m. and tracked the motorist traveling at 50 mph in a 35-mph zone while southbound on a motorcycle.
Upon contact with Hoskins, the officer detected an odor of raw marijuana. The motorist claimed he had a medical marijuana card handed over a small plastic sandwich bag with marijuana. He did not produce a card and the bag did not have dispensary labelling, the officer reported.
