John E. Huston, 51, of DeGraff, was flown by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for treatment of serious injuries sustained in a crash involving his motorcycle Sunday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a southbound 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the 1800 block of south County Road 24 about 1:45 p.m. He reportedly failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the road, rode the ditch for approximately 10 feet, struck a gravel driveway and went airborne.
Deputies said Huston was thrown from the motorcycle and the motorcycle overturned three times before coming to a rest.
According to the crash report, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. Damage was heavy to the motorcycle, which was towed from the scene. Citations are pending Huston’s release from the hospital, deputies said.

The school bus operated by Shane M. Pope, 42, of DeGraff, stopped in traffic, and the Ritter car struck the rear of the bus.
