Lutheran Community Services, a United Way of Logan County-funded agency, is coordinating a free food distribution Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at its 223 Oakland Square location in Bellefontaine.
The Thrift Store/Food Pantry is the recipient of a large shipment of provisions from the USDA Farmers to Families program.
More than 400 boxes containing 30 pounds of fresh food will be given away during the distribution, with no income or eligibility requirements. Each box will contain meat, dairy, fruit, and vegetable items to feed a household of four for an entire week.
Those attending to receive a box are asked not to arrive until 9 a.m.
Line-up takes place in the alley across from the Knowlton Library, off north Main Street.
