Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report a backpack belonging to Joshua Amonds, 512 Brookwood Drive, was found in a neighbor’s yard Monday afternoon.
Amonds met with officers and told them he left it in his unlocked pickup truck overnight. A bit of loose change was missing from the backpack but nothing else.
However, he reported $75 was stolen from the pickup’s center console.
Officers noted residents should keep their vehicle’s locked when parked as a general practice.
