Indian Lake High School graduates 111 members of the Class of 2022 in commencement exercises slated for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Laker Stadium.
Jeremy Miller, a 1999 ILHS graduate, returns to his alma mater to deliver the graduation address.
After high school, he attended The Ohio State University, where he was also a member of the football team and part of the 2002 BCS National Championship team.
After college, Miller was hired by the Dublin Police Department and completed the basic peace officer academy at the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2004. He has been with the Dublin Police Department for almost 19 years.
In 2014, the featured speaker was chosen as the department’s Officer of the Year in 2014. He is also a field training officer for new officers and part of the bike unit.
Jeremy is married to Katie and has three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, camping, bow hunting and snow skiing.
District officials noted this week that the forecast looks favorable for an outdoor ceremony. However, in case of inclement weather, graduation will be moved into the ILHS Main Gym.
“We very much look forward to welcoming our Class of 2022 family and friends and celebrating the many accomplishments of our Indian Lake seniors.”
“If you plan to attend, please dress for the weather. The forecast is predicting partly sunny, mid-60s. We will only move to the ILHS main gym in case of storms. “
Baccalaureate is at 1 p.m. in the auditorium.
Laker Stadium also opens at 1 p.m. prior to the ceremony. Graduates must be dressed and in their seats in the auxiliary gym at 1:45 p.m.
