Students select Outstanding Leaders Award winners

As the school year winds to a close, high school students from around Logan County have taken the time to reflect on mentors who have shaped their lives both in and out of school and bestowed special honors to them during a Tuesday afternoon ceremony.
Logan County Youth Leadership members presented the 2016 Outstanding Leaders Awards to: Doug Casey Jr. from E.W.H. Spectrum and RTC Industries; Benjamin Logan High School family/consumer sciences teacher Lois Stoll; Joe Teague Jr. from Honda of America Mfg.; and Doug and Kim Comer of Comer Insurance Agency Inc.
The year-end Youth Leadership ceremony at the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., also was a graduation from the four-year program for 18 high school seniors from Bellefontaine, Indian Lake, Riverside and Benjamin Logan schools.
Bellefontaine Police Chief Brandon Standley presented senior certificates to the following students: Darrian Bricker, Logan Wenger, Kyleigh Sharpin, Aubrey Short, Laraleigh Allen, Ashley Hill, Morgan Fultz, Austin Eaton, Cole Merritt, Ali Robinson, Nicholas Smith, Arden “Bear” Neer, Dillon Bricker, Caylee Wurster, Kaci Kidder, Lauryn Davis, Ross Stevens and Ryan Penny.
