The light is shining for the next several days in the Memorial Garden of the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Friends and family gathered outside Thursday afternoon to remember 14 individuals served by the Board of DD who passed away over the last year. It was one of the first gatherings since the pandemic began.
Staff members spoke fondly of each person, sharing memories, laughs and tears.
The light in the garden burns for: Sharon Boggs, Deanne Singer, Glen Cantrell, Mike Kerns, James “Art” Evans, James “Jimmy” Baker, Ashley Colyer, Mary Spriggs, Mark McIntire, Avianna Granthram, Robert Griffin, Martin Kodger, Brent Roby and Stanton Walker.
At the conclusion of the annual event, Superintendent Saul Bauer led the group in prayer and song.
