• Bellefontaine — 9 a.m. parade leaves Harold Kerr American Legion Post 173, 120 Colton Ave., led by grand marshal Harley James, proceeds to Bellefontaine Cemetery for ceremony, led by master of ceremonies Robert Walker, guest speaker: Shelley Kneece, Logan County Veterans Services director; Logan County Honor Guard and Rifle Squad participates, wreath laying takes place in memory of each war.
• East Liberty — 10 a.m. Monday, May 30; Benjamin Logan Middle School band to perform; speaker: Ken Rosebrook; invocation and benediction by Dr. Jason Robson; color guard from Wood-Rosebrook American Legion Post 745.
• Lakeview — Parade Monday, May 30, Emil Davis Park, sponsored by Amvets Post 39, line-up begins at 10 a.m., parade begins promptly at 11 a.m., ending at the Amvets Post 39 parking lot for a short program, lunch served afterward inside the Amvets.
• Rushsylvania Memorial Day Services —9 a.m. Monday, May 9, at the village park, sponsored by the Rushsylvania Lions Club; master of ceremonies, Lion President Mike Wroten; featured speaker: Rev. Jessica Cavinee of the Rushsylvania United Methodist Church; Benjamin Logan Middle School band will perform patriotic musical selections and Taps; honor guard performs a 21- gun salute.
• 82nd Annual Zane Township parade — 11 a.m. Monday May 30, Middleburg, line up begins at 10 a.m. at the township building on the corner of county Roads 152 and 153, proceed to the cemetery for the Memorial Day ceremony; prizes are awarded for the best costume, the best decorated bike, ATV, garden tractor or go-cart, float; all Zane Township veterans invited to ride on the veterans float in the parade.
• West Mansfield — 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, West Mansfield Conservation Club, 701 S. Main St., hosted by American Legion Post 603, Little Miss Poppy Rowan Kearns, Cedar Reames and Palmer Culp honored; music by the Community Choir, speaker: Bob Fawcett, U.S. Army, salute to the departed by the American Legion Post 603 honor guard.
• West Liberty — 11 a.m. Monday, May 30, Village of West Liberty recognizes eight additional Purple Heart veterans, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Purple Heart veterans and families are able to talk with the public in a more one-on-one setting; the village is excited to finish the addition of eight stones for the Purple Heart Memorial, with the new parking lot and sidewalk; Memorial Day parade, ceremony begins at 2 p.m., parade route starts at the old high school and ends at town hall; Berry Digital Solutions has been recording these veteran stories and uploading to mywestliberty.com.
