Max Lee Pummell, 74, of Lakeview, formerly of Huntsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Ayden Health Care of Belle Springs, Bellefontaine.
He was born in Lima, Ohio on October 22, 1947, the son of the late William Kenneth and Iris Irene (Wagoner) Pummell. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie L. Pummell and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Pummell.
On December 4, 1968, he married the former Mary Lee Homola, and she survives along with their two sons; William (Melinda) Pummell and James (Betty Gibson) Pummell, four grandchildren; RJ Pummell, Ashley Pummell, Justin Pummell, and Mallory Pummell, two sisters; Vickie (Joe) Briggs and Cathy (Tim) Weber and two brothers; Larry Pummell and Rick Pummell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Max graduated from Wapakoneta High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as an electrician for Thompson Electric in Bellefontaine until his retirement.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service on Saturday, September 24, at 2 p.m. in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Huntsville Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
