Board-certified and fellowship trained gastroenterologist Dr. Noufal Jajeh has recently joined the Mary Rutan Hospital team, and is now scheduling patients for appointments at the Mary Rutan Hospital Ambulatory Care Center, 2160 Ewing Crawfis Circle.
For nearly 30 years, Dr. Jajeh has built a reputation for clinical excellence, providing gastroenterology and hepatology care with a focus on endoscopic and specialty G.I. procedures, hospital officials said.
He graduated first in his class from Damascus University Medical School in Syria. He received a master’s degree in Preventative Medicine from the University of Iowa and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Jajeh provides specialized care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the digestive system. The diseases he treats include: G.I. bleedings, colon cancer screening with polypectomy, non-surgical painless treatment of hemorrhoids, early G.I. cancer detection, liver diseases, all hepatitis, jaundice, stones and strictures of the common bile duct, pancreatic tumors and early detection of cancer and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic ultrasound staging of rectal tumors, esophageal manometry and 24 hour PH metry, small bowel diseases, G.E.R.D., motility disturbance of G.I. tract, gastrostomy tube placement, dysphagia and many G.I. and liver diseases.
