The Mary Rutan Foundation announced this week 40 scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 academic year, totaling $58,615 in awards.
Through the generous support of individual contributions, bequests and memorial donations to Mary Rutan Foundation’s general and named scholarship funds,
Mary Rutan Foundation annually awards money to local students, to aid them in achieving their academic goals of becoming a medical professional.
“With the shortage of healthcare workers nationwide, it is important now more than ever for Mary Rutan Foundation to invest in the future of these students,” said Mary Rutan Foundation Chief Operating Officer Tammy Allison.
“These individuals will make a difference to patients, communities and the future of healthcare as they are successful in reaching their academic goals and enter the healthcare work force.”

Since 1992, Mary Rutan Foundation has awarded over $2.3 million to local scholars. These funds have supported the education of more than 1,100 current and future healthcare workers.
