Martin L. Kodger, 85, of Bellefontaine passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Springfield Regional Hospital.
Martin was born in Quincy, on Feb. 5, 1935, to the late Lester and Mildred W. (Cook) Kodger. He was also preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Weller, brothers Herbert Kodger and George Kodger, sister-in-law Lorraine Kodger; brother-in-law Vernon Weller; and nephews Christopher Kodger and David Kodger.
Martin is survived by his sister-in-law Doris (George) Kodger; nieces Katherine (Denver) Roberts, Jeanette Kodger DeWine; nephews Lester (Lisa) Kodger, Raymond Kodger, and Randy (Jacquie) Weller; and guardian and very good friend Carol McCormick.
Martin was a friend to everyone and always had a smile for everyone he met. He always loved watching TV, especially older shows.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vancrest Nursing Center in Urbana, all the nurses and doctors at Springfield Regional Hospital, and most all to Carol McCormick who took such great and loving care of Martin.
A private family graveside service for Martin will be conducted at Plattsville Cemetery, Sidney.
