Margery Lucile (Amos) Lusby, 98, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 4:47 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton. She was born in Bellefontaine, on March 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Homer L. and Edna E. (Bullard) Amos.
On April 6, 1947, Lucile married Benjamin Leroy Lusby in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her son David Lusby and a brother Clarence J. Amos.
Lucile is survived by her two sons, Richard L. (Dorothy) Lusby and Russell L. Lusby; a daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Lusby; four grandchildren, Shauna Lusby, Emma Lusby, Brittany Lusby, and Benjamin Lusby; and a great grandson, Braedon Lusby.
A 1940 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Lucile had worked at A&C Dime Store – WH Marvin in Urbana and Zerbee Hilleker plant. She was a member of the Logan County Historical Society and enjoyed baking and crocheting. She crocheted over 100 afghans and gave them to the Veteran Home.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 at Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.
