Jason M. Crabtree, 32, of Conover, was arrested Wednesday for failure to identify and criminal trespass.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were on patrol on State Route 235 near Parker Drive on the north side of Indian Lake at 12:10 a.m. and observed Crabtree drive a pickup truck from mobile home park southbound on S.R. 235.
Crabtree was jerking about the lane as he drove with deputies following but did not cross out of the marked lanes. He pulled into Bobber’s Pizzeria and Drive-Thru, 15641 N. S.R. 235, and deputies continued to Township Road 293.
They waited to see if Crabtree would pull back onto S.R. 235 without the deputies following, but he did not. Deputies returned to Bobbers and found the suspect standing outside the pickup with a can of gasoline in the bed.
He refused to identify himself despite multiple requests from deputies. He became belligerent when a deputy began to talk with a female passenger.
His identification card was found on the floor board of the pickup’s cab.
Crabtree was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.
He continued to be hostile to staff and was placed in a holding cell.
